RIBA Stage 4 (Technical Design) Completed for the Secret Garden House

We are thrilled to share an update on our Secret Garden House project. This extended heritage property is set within a large garden, hidden behind tall flint walls creating a private oasis in the Linton Conservation Area in Cambridgeshire.

Today, we celebrate the successful completion of RIBA Stage 4 (Technical Design), a significant milestone in our journey towards realising this project which includes detailing the external envelope and selecting finishes.

Collaborating with esteemed garden designer, Jane Brockbank, we have crafted a harmonious marriage of architecture and landscape. A dramatic picture window will frame ever changing views of a newly planted orchard, while a high level window will allow views of the sky.

Robust terracotta-toned Ketley brick internal flooring will gracefully extend outwards into the terrace, seamlessly connecting internal and external spaces, and visually expanding the kitchen-dining space, creating a captivating interplay of indoor and outdoor living.

A high level window allows views of the sky and passing clouds, while new robust floor finished inside and out allow for leaves to blow in from the garden without concern, and for internal life to spill out easily onto surrounding terrace areas. Stay tuned as we embark on the next chapter of collaboration with our clients, to extend and transform their forever home.
