Connor Pearce joins the 4SA team

Over the past 2 years we have collaborated with a number of talented architectural freelancers but are delighted that Connor Pearce has joined our team at 4SA as our first employee.

Connor graduated from Kingston University in 2022 after completing his Part II architectural studies where he developed a passion for working with existing buildings and heritage properties.  His thesis project looked at a series of urban interventions into a collection of historic multi-use residential and retail buildings on Rye Lane in South London. His strategic interventions were aimed at bringing life into the under-utilised back-land plots to create a new hub for the community, and in so doing extend the lives of the historic buildings, adapting them for contemporary life.

Connor has been exposed to construction from an early age while working closely with his father, a carpenter and contractor, for many years before deciding to study in architecture. This invaluable experience has given Connor a excellent understanding and appreciation of how buildings come together on site materially and technically. This early exposure continues to influence and inform his design choices.

Throughout his architectural career he has worked on a variety of residential and commercial projects at both Common Ground Workshop and Mark Fox Architecture from concept through to realisation, thereby providing him with a thorough understanding of the architectural process and construction techniques. His enthusiasm and keen interest in the adaptation of our historic built environment as well as traditional and modern timber framing techniques makes him a valuable asset to our team.
