It presents a unique opportunity to explore the world’s leading design brands, undiscovered talent, and specially commissioned installations. Clerkenwell Design Week also features hundreds of design-led events, workshops, talks, parties, showroom presentations, and more.

Here are 4 S Architecture’s top 4 Highlights from Clerkenwell Design Week, carefully curated after our visit:

1/ Benchmark Furniture

We loved meeting the team at Benchmark Furniture, and learning about their creative making process. Benchmark believe that the care and attention their craftsmen take with each piece of furniture brings an energy and integrity to the final piece that could never be replicated by mass manufacture.

We love their AYA collection, designed with Norman Foster. The table, with its integrated LED lighting strip, would look fantastic in any workspace; while their OVO sideboard would be at home in any living room or boardroom.

2/ Case furniture inside Amin Taha’s studio

Case furniture definitely secured the best location in Amin Taha’s architectural studio. Stepping inside the multi-level space and exploring the lush private garden was a fantastic experience and created a perfect setting for Case’s lighting and furniture. Here are our top picks from Case:

3/ Recork’s Sustainable solid cork floor planks and rugs

UNA is an agglomerated cork plank by Recork which is made from the recycled cork waste from the bottle stopper industry.

SUGO uses traditional tapestry techniques to incorporate cork into durable, sustainable and beautiful rugs.

4/ Charging socket system from Evoline

We loved this neat system by Evoline. We can really envision this being used in touchdown spaces such as office receptions, and it is perfect for workspace breakout areas and meeting rooms.
