Celebrating Three Years of 4 S Architecture

Today marks a significant milestone as we proudly celebrate three years of shaping spaces and transforming existing buildings into inspiring workplaces and homes. It has been an incredible journey filled with challenges and triumphs; fuelled by our passion for sensitively extending the life of historic buildings in the private residential and commercial workplace sectors, by making them relevant to today’s needs.

Transforming Workspaces

Over the past three years, we’ve had the privilege of breathing new life into three existing Grade II listed commercial workplaces, including Ulster Terrace, Grosvenor Place, and 100 Pall Mall (which was recently published in OnOffice magazine). Our Hatton Garden commercial project in the Hatton Garden Conservation Area is nearing completion on site, while our Headfort Place workplace mews project in Belgravia is just starting on site. Our dedication to thoughtful design and functionality has not only revitalised these spaces but has also contributed to the wellbeing of those who inhabit them.

Elevating Homes

This year saw the completion of our Curve House in the Sunnyhill Conservation Area, while our Eucalyptus House in the Trinity Gardens Conservation Area started on site in April 2023, and continues through the construction phase at pace. Planning permission was secured for works on our Camberwell Grove project in the Camberwell Grove Conservation Area and for our Secret Garden House in the Linton Conservation Area, which we progressed to RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design. Our team’s commitment to understanding the unique needs and aspirations of our clients has resulted in homes that resonate on a personal level, turning their visions into a reality.

Preserving Heritage

Working with existing buildings in conservation areas, and with listed properties; has been a special endeavour close to our hearts. We feel privileged to have worked on a wide array of exciting Conservation projects.

A Greener Tomorrow

Sustainability has been a guiding principle throughout these three years. We have integrated eco-friendly practices into every project, embracing technologies and materials that minimise our footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

As we reflect on our journey, we are grateful for the trust our clients have placed in us, and the dedication of our incredible team. The past three years have been a testament to what’s possible when creativity, expertise and passion converge.

To all those who have been a part of this journey - clients, collaborators, and supporters - thank you for making these years a success.

Here’s to many more years of transforming spaces and creating architecture that stands the test of time.
